Across a full culture cycle, the carbon stored through oyster-driven organic carbon production was 2.39 times greater than that retained in oyster shells. These results suggest that oyster farming may serve as a scalable, nature-based method for climate change mitigation, providing both carbon sequestration and food production benefits.
